This program requires Windows 3.1. You can setup Vocabulator by running setup.exe while in Windows.
The setup program will copy the necessary files into the appropriate directories.
You are permitted to use this program with it's 30 word database without charge and distribute it among your friends and BBS's - without alteration. If you find it useful please register and you will receive full program with over 300 word database, and free upgrades - when available.

The Main idea of this program is to operate from the Window's start-up group, in this manner Vocabulator is displayed above all other applications, without the need to start it manually.
Another use is for it to piggy-back another application, such as your word processor, in this manner every time you click on the vocabulator icon the selected program will load with your daily word displayed in the lower portion of the screen. If you choose to permanently have vocabulator« piggy-back a particular application it would be best to delete the icon for that application and just use vocabulator's icon to start it.
The vocabulator« program displays a new word each day. Starting the program multiple times in one day will not increment to the next word. Only restarting on a new day will display a new word. Vocabulator« can also run as a stand alone application.
MENU INSTRUCTIONS
FLOAT - This button allows vocabulator« to float above all other applications including Program Manager. By deffault it loads this way. Short-cut key is alt-f.
SINK - This button turns off the float button. Short-cut key is alt-k.
EXIT - This button terminates the program. Short-cut key is alt-x.
SCROLL - This button displays a new window with a text box displaying the present days' word and all previous words. Short-cut key is alt-s
This window does not float but has the following option buttons.
SETUP - This button allows you to display vocabulator« on another application. It requires application name and path. Obtain this from the Working Directory in Program Manager's File menu - Properties section.
This change will take affect upon next start-up of vocabulator«. Vocabulator« can also run as a stand alone application by leaving choices blank in setup. Short-cut key is alt-s
PRINT- This button prints all listed words up to the present word using the printer selected in Windows' Print Manager. Short-cut key is alt-p
CLOSE - This button closes the scroll window only. Short-cut key is alt-c
